Hurtworld was designed with both cooperative and competitive multiplayer in mind. We may also use vehicles to explore the world and construct buildings. What deserves a praise is the fact that the developers prepared several very diverse biomes - from snowy northern forests to tropical desert areas. The game puts emphasizes primarily the survival aspects, and the most important factor, crucial to survival under those extreme conditions, is satisfying the basic needs of our character. Our tasks boil down to exploration and gathering the resources, and other useful materials, that will enable us to build a decent shelter and produce a myriad of useful tools and weapons. Depending on our preference, we may use either first- or third-person perspective. The gameplay mechanics of Hurtworld bear a strong resemblance to the highly-praised sandbox game, Rust. The player character finds himself in a vast desert plain and his task is to survive in this hostile environment. The plot was limited to necessary minimum, in accordance with the genre’s standards. It is the first major production from Bankroll, an Australian developer studio established in 2012.
